An Australian English classroom that answers while you write.
Echelon Learning has a legacy in the English Academy of Australia and wanted to expand online to the Asian market. Working with the client's smart-pen technology, the aim was to bring an Australian English classroom to mobile, where users can actively learn, reflect, and get feedback.
Over one year and three months we worked cross-functionally on research, project management, ideation, prototyping, modelling the AI tasks, and scripting the XML language for the chatbot.
A premium English learning program that combines rule-based AI with a live-feedback platform. Connecting the smart pen to the mobile app, AI characters lead users through tasks and respond to their questions as they write on the dot-coded textbook.
The target is Year 9–12, the digital natives; catching their attention and retaining engagement through a session was a big challenge. We constantly iterated — ideate, prototype, validate — across every aspect: UI, copywriting, chatbot character, sound effects, TTS voice, AI response rules, video lectures, scoring and other gamification policies.
